What I do

Training that qualifies people for high-stakes operations. Procedures that govern those operations. Coaching that develops the leaders who run them.

Training & Operator Qualification

Initial and ongoing qualification for Distribution and Transmission System Operators across Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire. Switching and Tagging programs for field crews: linemen, substation technicians, and underground cable workers. NERC/FERC compliant, built for the control room and the field.

Procedure Management & Governance

Lifecycle management for approximately 1,300 procedures across the three-state footprint. 950–1,100 revisions per year, with roughly 20 new procedures issued annually. Distribution and Transmission, managed enterprise-wide.

Executive Coaching

Board Certified Coach (BCC), Associate Certified Coach (ACC), and Certified Executive Coach (CEC). Coaching for senior leaders navigating transitions, high-stakes environments, and the gap between technical expertise and organizational authority.

Training is an investment, not a cost.

I started in the Navy with that conviction, and it has not changed. The organizations I build are designed around the same principle: the people closest to the risk need the best preparation, the clearest procedures, and a system that holds them accountable without setting them up to fail.

Areas of expertise

Regulated utility operations, technical workforce development, enterprise risk governance, and executive coaching. All grounded in environments where the margin for error is narrow.

High-stakes, low-frequency training design

Building training for events that rarely happen but matter enormously when they do. System operator qualification in regulated environments.

Enterprise risk governance

Designing mechanisms that capture frontline risk, translate it into governable problem statements, and drive follow-through at the executive level.

Workforce development strategy

The financial case for treating training as capital investment. Learning design that connects directly to operational readiness and risk reduction.

Operational leadership under pressure

Branch Director during major storm operations under the Incident Command System. Real-time command authority, contractor management at scale, and operational decisions when timelines are compressed and information is incomplete.

Human performance & error reduction

Founded the Error Reduction Committee (ERC) at Eversource Energy and standardized causal and barrier analysis for incident review across Electrical Operations. The ERC is the executive governance body where Event Analyses are presented and acted on.

Management systems & analytics

Governance dashboards built for executive decision-making: the ERC Dashboard, Workforce & Contractor Readiness Suite, and SOT Dashboard. Operational data translated into decisions.
